Gallbladder removed 4 weeks ago due to acute cholecystitis. Have constant right side flank pain and pain under right rib cage. Is this normal healing?
Unlikely: Did you have a laparoscopic or open removal of the gall bladder. If open, normal post-operative pain where you describe could still be present. However, it is more likely that you had the gall bladder removed with the scopes. If so, you really shouldn't have any more pain there. Were there any complications? Do you have any other symptoms?
