Exfoliation is a great way to treat kp, but the natural items are not really the strongest, so some may not respond. Alpha-hydroxy acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid or urea moisturize and soften dry skin while exfoliating. If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated has not cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician who can add some prescription-strength Rx.
