Many options: Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Skin blemishes can be caused by many different things, including dry skin, irritated skin, and acne (just to name a few). It is very difficult to give you a good recommendation without a full history and physical. I suggest that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck! ...Read more
Any good drug store (walgreens preferably), acne scar creams or gels that you recommend? Nothing too expensive. I'm on Accutane as well
Wait: You should generally finish your Accutane treatment before you try to treat the acne scars. Acne scars are very hard to get rid of. There are over the counter products that can help slightly with dark spots, but I would not expect a major improvement. Indented scars will not respond to anything sold over the counter. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

Scar improvement: Scar improvement can be achieved, but it takes patience. An overnight improvement is simply impossible. There is no clinical evidence to support Mederma. You need a long peel. This is achieved with tretinoins. Also, microdermabrasion and/or dermabrasion depending on scar depth. A chemical peel is also an otpion, Tretinoins, abrasions, and peels all achieve the desired skin slough. Good luck ...Read more

Another option is needling techniques. ...Read more
