If benzoyl peroxide (and/or the oral contraceptive pill for a female for whom it's right) doesn't work, topical Clindamycin or some other medicine from your physician will help. It is possible: Epiduo contains Adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adapalene is a third generation retinoid and as such can cause some mild lightening of the skin. I have seen this more often with something like Retin-A bit it is also possible that Adapalene can cause the same effect. Discuss with your dermatologist. ...Read more
No: Usually dark spots corrector is used on dark pigments seen on the hands as women age. Because it is formulated for the spots or lentigos on the hands I would not use it on the face. Acne has an antinflammatory component that aging spots do not have. To avoid possible scarring of the facial skin I would not recommend using it on the face. Not sure: Some with darker complexions can have areas of pigmentation in the mouth particularly on the gums next to teeth. The old mercury dental amalgams could leave a gray area on the tissue next to the tooth. Melanoma can occur in the mouth but rarely. I suggest you see ENT for evaluation. ...Read more
