Maybe and maybe not: You could try holding her in a more upright position as you feed her and do not put her on her back right after you feed her. That would make it more difficult for stomach contents to come back up the esophagus after she swallows. If she cries a lot just after feeding that might indicate that some acid from the stomach has come up to her mouth. Is she gaining weight appropriately? If so, good. ...Read more

See MD if continues: Acid reflux occurs more often if one lies down too soon after eating. Need to wait 2 hours. U can also take a Tum. Note that Prilosec does tend to make one Magnesium depleted. Good to take Mg Oxide(~250mgs) a few times a week. If you had litmus paper you could measure pH (acid) of saliva in AM. At any rate a viral sore throat lasts few days.
