My inner ears and throat are itchy. Throat is really red and a bit swollen. Allergies? Acid reflux? What can I take?

Could be both: Itching of the ear, roof of the mouth, and throat are commonly associated with allergies. However, here in utah there are no pollens out this time of year, and spring pollens haven't arrived yet. So unless you are exposed to a new pet, it's less likely. If your throat is visibly red reflux is possible, but it would be reaching very high up. Viral illness may be more likely. ...Read more

Hi I have been treating for acid reflux and gastritis since dec. Now my hair is itchy all the time and this week Ive had headache, earaches. Help?

Hi I have been treating for acid reflux and gastritis since dec. Now my hair is itchy all the time and this week Ive had headache, earaches. Help?

Not sure: I'm unaware of a link between GERD and itchy scalp. Since it is, the indoor heated/dry air can contribute to scalp dryness/itching. Acid reflux when you are lying flat at night can inflame the exit site for the eustachian tubes that drain the middle ear, leading to increased pressure on both sides. If there is nasal congestion from reflux, poor breathing/snoring at night can cause headaches. ...Read more
