What have you tried?: Have you tried acid blocker medication, in what dose, ; with what results? Have you undergone testing either by endoscopy or x-ray? Is this new, worse, recurrent? Any history of eosinophilic disease (eosinophilic esophagitis sometimes mimics gerd) or known esophageal motility disorder? Under any stress? Take nsaid's, vomiting, blood, etc? Been getting acid reflux (felt in neck) daily. Indicative of something detrimental? Could tea and/or yogurt cause this? 10mg Pepcid (famotidine) AC stops it.
Acid reflux per se:
is not detrimental and is treatable..HOWEVER an evaluation by a Gastroenterologist is probably a good idea since some esophageal; disorders need special attention (eg "Barrett's esophogas")

Take a good antacid for a few days. This should make the pain from acidity go away. If the pain persists, then it is not related to acid reflux. In that case you should go see a ENT doctor.
As for antacids, you might have a favorite but I can suggest that you take either Pepcid (Famotidine) or Prilosec. Take it daily for one week. The acid reflux-pain goes away within 24 hours. ...Read more

Does Pepto (pink liquid) reduce acid reflux? My stomach is fine, I just feel acid in my lower neck. It gets this way when I'm having a bad GERD day.
Doesn't help.: Bismuth products such as Pepto-Bismol do not help with acid reflux. You might want to consider taking antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta instead of Pepto-Bismol.
