Horrible cough. Usually worse at night, but is getting horrible during day too. Starting to cough up flem (clear). Doc said it was acid reflux, nothing?

Yes, esp in AM: Yes, a chronic cough is 1 of the signs of acid reflux. Also, post-nasal drip (allergies), asthma, & lung problems could cause similar symptoms. How can I get a nagging acid reflux cough to go away? I am currently taking Prilosec 40mg, once a day, everyday.
