Anx -> reflux: Stress and anxiety can cause acid reflux itself, so the stomach symptoms may be exactly the same as reflux due to other causes. To the best of my knowledge, the cause of acid reflux has no bearing on how ppis work, but a GI specialist may have a better answer for this part of your question. ...Read more

Both contribute: Stress and food type both contribute to ger. Also what you eat, including caffeine, alcohol, acidic foods, greasy foods when you eat, such as later in day and before laying down make sure you are doing things to stay healthy otherwise, including not being overweight, getting regular exercise if you are on meds, ask doc whether they could be contributing to ger best wishes! ...Read more
