Gallbladder: Bloating, nausea, and right upper quadrant pain are all suggestive of gallbladder disease. An ultrasound of the gallbladder and/or a HIDA scan will show if you have this. Sounds coincidental: Avoid foods ; behavior that delay stomach emptying ;/or relax the lower esophageal sphincter--spicy, greasy food, mints, alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, tomato-based products, caffeinated ; fizzy drinks, eating before bedtime. Lose weight. Elevate head of bed on blocks. Use otc acid blockers for relief (h2's: tagamet, zantac, pepcid; ppi's: prilosec, prevacid, zegerid). See a GI doctor if persistent. ...Read more

Belching: The excessive belching is caused by some underlying condition, such as your reflux disease. The belching itself is more a symptom than the cause you need to get treated. Seek help form a GI dr. Who specializes in this area. Best wishes. ...Read more

I have chronic acid reflux, just got over fever/nausea, throat burns as i swallow food/water, sulphur burps, food feels stuck. Remedies/meds don't work?

For now...: Try Prilosec otc, 1 pill 45 min before breakfast daily for 2 weeks. Chronic acid reflux should be thoroughly evaluated with an egd, upper endoscopy, to make sure you aren't damaging your esophagus. Chronic medications may be needed. See a GI doc for a complete evaluation. ...Read more

GERD: I agree that your symptoms are consistent with reflux of acid from the stomach. There are many meds now available to decrease acid production in the stomach. Most common cause of sore throats in young adults is not infection but GERD. ...Read more
