Maybe partly: WHile the burning in the chest could be related to GERD, the other symptoms sound like they could be related to a common cold (viral infection) or seasonal allergies. GERD can cause all the symptoms as well, especially if there is liquid coming all the way up to the throat. OK to try anti-acid meds to see if it helps the burning. Worse GERD: it sounds like your GERD is worse. It may be that you need to have an increase in your medication and buckling down on antireflux precautions. Hopefully you'll be able to tell more after the endoscopy. Stick with your current medications for now, and consider adding in extra Tums (calcium carbonate) when ever you have worse symptoms.
