Started taking 20 mg nexium bc I noticed GERD symptoms at night.Been on it for 3 weeks. Missed a dose and got horrible acid reflux I didn't have before i started taking this medicine. Has it made my reflux worse?i worry I'll now be on it forever

Yes sometimes: missing a dose of PPI (which is the class of GERD medications Nexium belongs to) can bring out the worse. I would venture to guess that your diet is not yet optimal to control GERD and you would need to do your best to avoid food/ drinks that worsen your condition while taking Nexium.
