Vomiting or regurg?: Big difference--if regurgitating foods as you describe (that promote gastroesophageal reflux), then you probably are describing gerd ; diet modification (; acid reducer) is in order. My baby is 11 weeks old, acid reflux, similac spit up for 5 weeks now. She has been vomiting curdled milk for 2 weeks now. Help!
It's normal: As soon as milk hits the acid in the stomach it curdles and smells terrible, but if your baby is happy, growing and has soft poops she doesn't need any medicine or a change in formula. It is only when babies are in pain from spitting up that we give antacid medicine and unfortunately it does not stop them from spitting up. Sitting her up for a half hour after she eats and burping well does help. ...Read more
Seemed to have bacteria under my tonsils. (maybe from acid reflux) is there anything that can't help get rid of it (without me vomiting)?

Second- acid reflux can be controlled with antacids and anti acid medications like ranitidine and omeprazole. Reflux laryngitis is inflammation (irritation) of the throat from GERD. Gargle with salt water to soothe the discomfort and "clean" the back of the mouth if you are concerned. Give it time too ...Read more

Freq. Nausea/acid reflux w/out vomiting (not preg) Dr. Could be PMS, put on birth control. Regular labs normal. Could this be the cause? Need relief!
Reflux: The main question I think is if reflux is causing you the symptoms. For that reason a trial of OTC Omeprazole or lansoprazole along with lifestyle changes should help us understand if that is all that' s needed. If that is not the case will know that we have to look for a different cause. Keeping a log of your symptoms would help in this case. ...Read more
