Sounds like Reflux: Probably reflux which can be related to certain things you eat and drink and alcohol especially can cause reflux. Unlikely: I think that would be extremely unlikely, but one can "never say never". It also depends on how the LPR was diagnosed. If you haven't had a formal pH study, you should consider if since your having problems. There are woress studies for 48 hours that measure acid only, and 24 hr studies that measure acid and non-acid reflux. Reflux: It sounds like you are bringing up acid from your stomach. Try a daily over-the-counter medicine like omeprazole. If that doesn't work after a few weeks see your doctor. Don't stay on it forever. If this has been going on for a while give it a month or 2, then go to every other day for a month and cut down slowly. Consider cutting down (or out) coffee & alcohol.
