My dad is 53 and has found skin cancer already. Now his bones ache and he gets headaches behind the eyes, and his back hurts. Is something wrong?

Can be serious: The first question would be to find out if your dad has melanoma. If so, then these symptoms absolutely need to be evaluated asap by a doctor. Melanoma can spread to just about any organ including the brain, bones, liver, and lungs. ...Read more

I'm 25 my bones ache.. have lots of headache migraines eye twitches ..body aches a lot no strength ..weak. no energy what should I do?

May be fibromyalgia: There are lots of issues here and when your physician will look at all of these there are major topics to be evaluated. Are there tender myofascial (soft tissue) sites when you are touched? The eye twitches weakness and aching suggest there may be a sleep disturbance that needs evaluation. Need to clarify whether these are migraine or muscle contraction headaches:fibromyalgia fits. ...Read more

Head hit into another persons head on eyebrow bone 4 days ago. Dr said exam ok, just sore/headache- only symptoms. When should mild headache subside?

Concussion: Well, a mild concussion (as yours sounds to be) can take a week or more for all of the symptoms to subside. It can last much less, or a little after, but most of my patients have resolution by a week. Just remember to have some brain rest, and no vigorous exercise for a few days, and you should be fine. Good luck! ...Read more

Otherwise, I'd be happy to visit with your BF since I'm a headache specialist. If he'd like to connect: www.healthtap.com/drsaghafi Key Code: PDXFNR ...Read more

Check with you Dr.: First check with you physician to be sure there are no medical complications. You may also have some dental concerns (grinding your teeth, sleep disturbances, etc.) but rule medical complications out first. If you physician does not find an answer, you may look into finding a doctor that deals with TMJ issues to see if this might be a cause. Treat the cause, not the effects. ...Read more

SympathyForTheDevil: There's so much in there that, after thinking about what you've said, my head is spinning with possibilities. You need to sit down & have a long talk with a good doctor & maybe a counselor. This could go several ways & someone needs to sort out all the details with you because it's in your details that the 'devilish' truth will be found.Start with a good internist: one who is smart and will *listen* ...Read more

Headaches, sore stomach and aching bones? Can it be withdrawal from having no pain killers/codiene?

Sure, but: It could also be a long list of other things, many common. The severity and duration would matter. If it is w/drawal - try to bear it - it will be worth it. And you can get medical help for it too. Have an exam if these seem to be unrelated at all. It can be wise. ...Read more

While landing during a flight, i felt severe headache, severe ear, neck, and facial bone aches. What is this and how to avoid? Thanks!

Landing and evere headache: I think that you suffered from a whiplash type of injury. Did you have a short moment of confusion? dizziness?during or following the landing? or the symptoms came later like 12-24 hours later? You need to see a neurologist, have an MRI, probably you should not fly until you are cleared to do so. ...Read more

Dizzy alot yesterday had a panic attck but now today had headaches and the back of my neck feels sore and almost weak try to crack but bones hurt?

Interesting: Your doctor would need alot more information, and perform a physical as well as check your vital signs. Dizzy, panic, neck sore, headache, and weak make me wonder about hypotension; neurocardiogenic syncope; and migraine, but there is no way to be more sure without a careful history and exam. Please dont hesitate to seek help! ...Read more

Hi! My symptoms include: persistent headache, sore chin, sore top right jaw bone, and lumps on either sides of my throat.

Flu season: Flu season has arrived :'( Your symptoms sound like typical symptoms from the common cold. At this point, you should focus on rest and hydration. The flu typically lasts 3-7 days. Make sure someone is around to help take care of you, until you feel well. If you do not start to improve in the next few days, I would certainly suggest going to see your Doctor. Hang in there. See a dentist: If there is no infection around the wisdom teeth coming in, then the antibiotic will not reduce the discomfort from the erupting tooth. Wisdom teeth are painful coming in and take a long time to erupt. See a dentist to determine if the tooth needs to be extracted. ...Read more
