Aches In Back
Strain: Could be several reasons, anything from a cervical sprain/strain to pain because of a disc herniation, or spinal stenosis or myofascial neck pain. Without a more detailed history and physical examination it's hard to determine. I would advise you seek the advice of a local physiatrist, who would be able to help you.
Have been exercising 2 mi run / 18 mi bike and making sure I stretch and foam roll. I woke with ache lower back. How should I treat? can Iexercise?
Back Pain: Have an exam to determine the cause. If it is a strain, a short course of anti inflammatory meds and moist heat may help. Inactivity is no longer recommended so if it is benign continue your activities as much as tolerated. All the best.
Pain in the...: Back and chest is not likely directly related to your sinuses. It could be secondary to coughing which may be indirectly related to your sinuses, or it may be from a viral infection which is also affecting your sinuses. I would recommend treating the symptoms with bed rest, plenty of fluids and either tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. If you are getting worse see your doctor.
BACK PAIN & pregnant: Call your doctor to report and follow the advice carefully.
A range of things: If it doesn‘t go away after a few days, you should see your doctor to help figure out what it could be.
Warm compresses: Try warm compresses at the back of the neck for 10-12 minutes about 3 times daily. You can try tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil with or without tea. If it is a dull head pain in the back of the head, you probably have a tension type headache. If the nature of the pain is different, or if you have any associated symptoms, it might be a different kind of headache. Consult your pcp.
I have a dull ache at back of head and neck on left side when i move my head what could it be? Thanks
Muscular: Sounds muscular but without examining hard to be sure.
What can be causing dull ache on back!? Right where my breast are located but on my back(only way I can describe location)
Muscle: Peri-scapular muscles can be the cause of pain dis comfort. If unilateral, shingles.
I had a very painful renal ultrasound today and since have had continued aching in back area that won't quit, what's going on?
Not clear: The ultrasound waves for the exam are not pain producing. The pressure required to study the kidneys may cause discomfort. The pain may be in the kidney such as infection or obstruction, however, structures in the vicinity such as overlying muscles may also be painful during the exam. Consult your doctor regarding the persistent pain.
Hi, I have been experiencing crucial , aching lower back pain. Laying in bed, or sitting for a while is when it feels to be getting worse.?
See below: These symptoms can only be adequately diagnosed only after a thorough evaluation by your doctor. This may include labs and other satudies. Once all of the information is in, your doctor can let you know what's going on, and what to do to help you.
My 45 yr husband is waking up at least once a week in middle of night w/headaches that are dull-ache towards back of head. Cause for alarm?
Cephalgia: What you describe are most likely tension headaches that are due to muscle contraction, but if the headaches worsen in either intensity or frequency then i would recommend you seek medical attention very quickly. You should talk over your concerns with your doctor.
Second opinion please. My rheumatologist said he thinks i've got fibromyalgia, but i only have muscle aches in back and shoulders. Any thoughts ?
Trained for half marathon and had dull groin ache on right side. Took a mos break & ache is back after runs. Doesn't hurt during run. Likely causes?
What is the best way to nurse an aching lower back? After lifting heavy items, tailbone area hurts when i walk for a while but goes away shortly after
Pain meds, heat pad,: Would relieve the pain/discomfort. Exercises to strengthen the back muscles would be greatly helpful. Avoiding heavy weights or gradually building up to it would help considerably. Good luck.
Without any info?: Do you realize you are asking us to guess about a diagnosis of pregnancy without any sexual, menstrual, or more importantly, ovulatory history? Back pain is not in any way a symptom of early pregnancy. It would not even be on the list of potential diagnoses for a physician if you came to them with the complaint of back pain. If you have missed a period and think you could be pregnant then TEST.See 1 more doctor answer
'06-diagnosed w/prostatitis. '11-testicular/groin dull aching but urol. Found nothing serious. '13-intermittently, the dull ache is back. Thoughts?
Prostatitis : The chronic time course of your symptom description certainly sounds like chronic prostatitis. Lifestyle behavior modifications, dietary factors, hydration status, and even stress have been implicated in this condition. Have an examination by your doctor to make sure it is not something more serious requiring urgent attention.
Low B12 & anemia. I get monthly B12 shots. Got injection on thurs (today is sun) and today my whole body aches (mainly back, boobs & chest). Related?
For you: Cold or warm effected people differently. Cold air for you may make you feel worse. Then maybe warm air will make you fell better.
Have dull ache in back of head near base of neck, feel a bit of pressure there too, hyperventilating, idea ?
How is your stress?: If stress is a factor this could be the cause of all of this especially if you are hyperventilating. The headache, the pain in the base of the neck and the pressure sounds like a stress reaction. Examine your health history and take stock of yourself. Too much caffeine?
