Aches And Pains In Pregnancy
Signs of preterm labor i'm 24 years old and 27 weeks pregnant. I think i'm having normal aches and pains of pregnancy, but need to make sure.
Braxton hicks (5-6 a day)
hip pain (constant)
heaviness in abdomen and thighs (off and on for weeks now)
All : All of the above symptoms you described are common at your stage of pregnancy. However, my rule of thumb for any pregnant patient is to contact your ob/gyn if you have any concerns, even the slightest. You can call your doctor's office 24/7 and there will always be someone on call to take your call. If you have any of the following signs of preterm labor present to OB triage right away: contractions that occur every 10 min. Or more frequently leakage of fluid or blood from your vagina increase in pelvic pressure intense backache cramps( like your period) best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy! ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Varies: The fluid retention typical of pregnancy can cause aches and pain. The Progesterone level is very elevated during pregnancy - this results in some relaxation of ligaments and tendons throughout the body, which would also explain aches and pain. The enlarging uterus and the inherent pregnancy related presence of a cyst on at least one of the ovaries also could add to your aches and pain. ...Read more

7dpo and having bad stretching aching pains in lower back and right side of pelvis. Is this normal? Is this a sign of pregnancy? If yes will b my 4th
A little early: 7 days post ovulation is a little early to suspect that any symptoms you are having are the result of pregnancy. One way to tell is to check a home pregnancy test. If negative then this implies that the hormone levels are too low for detection. If there are no detectable hormonal changes then the symptoms are not caused by that. A better time to take a test is if you miss your next period. ...Read more
Can pregnancy cause muscle/ligament damage to hips/back? Had some aches /pains there since having baby by c section 4 months ago.
Maybe: Sometimes, the pressure of the pregnant uterus lying on various pelvic nerves, blood vessels and muscles can produce temporary impairments that usually resolve spontaneously shortly after the pregnancy is completed. The joints and ligaments are soften by the hormones of pregnancy to allow the pelvic bones to separate in labor without damage. Evaluation is recommended at 4 months post C/section. ...Read more
I've been feeling dizzy lately. Having stomach aches and back pains. I also have spottings.
What should I do? are these a signs of pregnancy?
Pregnancy worries?: A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), 1 week after missing a period, or 1 week after starting a "weird" period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant. ...Read more
