Acetone (Overview)

This is a simple chemical, termed a ketone, which the body makes when sugar is in excess. It also is an effective cleaning, and sterilizing agent but can dissolve some plastics and is highly flammable in concentrated form. It is also used to remove cosmetic fingernails and to dissolve "crazy glue' when it is applied in the wrong place.

Yes: I assume the cut is totally healed under the glue seal. Acetone is the right product to remove it. It is available in beauty product areas as a nail glue remover and dabbing at the glue on your childs head can remove it although at this point it might simply peel off. ...Read more

Don't do that.: Oh my gosh, i just looked up what lady bits mean ! you want to use soft scrub and nail polish remover to lighten your labia? Oh nooooooooooooooooo! please don't do that - the genitalia are so delicate. Soft scrub is to clean out tubs & toilets. I suppose you were going to use the one with bleach. This will be harmful for you. I will also forward this to a dermatologist who is on line right now. ...Read more

Treatment: It's not normal to have Albumin in the urine. This is one thing we follow closely in a diabetic. He should be on an ace inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker to "protect" the kidneys and hopefully reverse this process. Make sure he sees his doc regularly. ...Read more
