IPF: A key feature of IPF is the excessive deposition of extracellular matrix and basement membrane disruption that may be at least in part due to an imbalance between secreted matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and their inhibitors.Doxycyline, an MMP inhibitor, was observe to decrease fibrosis, inhibiting MMPs. 2 small studies done in India have favorable outcomes although not statistically significant ...Read more
It's to be expected: The full course of isotretinoin will usually keep acne at bay for a year or two. It will return eventually unless the time has come for it to remit on its own. (Mine did this at age 50). I can't recommend intermittent isotretinoin; there are regimens that are milder. Since you're female, topical benzoyl peroxide plus spironolactone is one of many possibilities. Best wishes. ...Read more

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Depends: About 25% of people who have positive hcv antibody tests will have negative hcv viral load (RNA) tests. This means they are not chronically infected. Most of the time, this is not a true "false positive" test, because the person spontaneously cleared the infection after true exposure. The antibody test indicates exposure and the hcv RNA test indicates active infection. ...Read more
What is the prognosis for a male age 19 with t-cell all combined marrow/em relapse 22 monts after initial diagnosis and 12 months after treatment end?
Hard question. : Typically a relapse 1 year off therapy implies 48 or more monthsfrom initial diagnosis, not 22 months. Either way, this is salvageable. Remissions rates are probably 75-80% with long term relapse-free rates between 40-60%. Sorry to hear this. Good luck. ...Read more
