Need evaluation: There are two possibilites you need to be evaluated for. One is infection witha "superbug" called mrsa. Mrsa can cause reccurrent and often serious skin infections. The other is an inherited condition called hidradenitis supprativa which is characterized by recurrent boils, abscesses and scarring on buttoicks, groin and at times breasts and underarms. Maybe serious: It sounds like you may be carrying a virulent strain of staph or strep bacteria. Or if the abscesses are limited to certain areas like the groin or armpits, you might have hidradenitis suppurativa, an autoimmune disorder. Either could be serious.
