It's been 3 weeks since part one of my root canal and my abscess is still there, but smaller. I don't have anymedicines left. Is it normal?
I had a bad abscess last april, it was so infected i was on medicine until august and then finally my root canal started which was a combination of 3 more visits to complete it. My tooth still is sore on and off and a bad oder comes from it. I don't fee

Keep an eye on it: Unfortunately, root canal treatments can have recurring infections for several reasons. What is important, in my opinion, is to resolve the infection prior to completing the root canal therapy. If it was completed in the presence of active infection, you will need to monitor it closely. See your dentist: He/she must be certain that the infection is fully eliminated before the tooth is restored with final restoration. The removal of the root canal filling is more laborious that taking out the pulp tissues.
