What would cause a spot to show up on my jaw in a dental xray. It is about the color of the teeth on the xray and a near perfect circle.?

This is a great question to ask your dentist in person so you can look at the image together. If he or she does not know, a specialist can help. ...Read more

How do I get rid of stains that are in a hole in my teeth?

See a dentist: A hole in a tooth is an area that will easily trap food particles, has been difficult for you to clean (as shown by the inclusion of stain), and ultimately will develop decay. Any hole or defect in the tooth should be restored or if without decay, should be sealed to prevent a future cavity. What age do you loose your last baby tooth? If a 14 year old child has a lot of plaque build up on their teeth can this prevent baby teeth from falling out? Is it normal for a 14 year old to still have some of her baby teeth? Is plaque black in color and

As: As stated by the other docs the black buildup is probably tarter that needs to be professional removed. It is not the cause for retaining baby teeth. Usually we would expect these all to be lost somewhere between 11-12, although slower patterns of these teeth being lost are not always abnormal. Have your dentist check this out to determine if any intervention is necessary by an orthodontist or if it's ok to let nature take it's course. ...Read more

Need some dental expertise! My teeth are a light yellow color, it's too early on to get a cleaning.?

Yellow teeth.: Actually yellow is a common color for teeth. The more see through the enamel, or outer hard shell of the tooth is, the more the inside portion, or dentin shows. Dentin is yellowish, so this is quite normal, but in my experience, yellow teeth are the easiest to bleach or whiten to a beautiful shade you will be happy with. See a dentist and inquire about tooth whitening options. Good luck. ...Read more
