Need evaluation: You should be seen by a thyroid specialist who can review the ultrasound; if there are worrisome features, a simple "fine needle aspiration" biopsy can be done in the office with a very thin needle. Not sure what the: Question is. Solid nodules with irregular boarders are of concern. It is not clear if this is a short term follow-up or something else. It is not unreasonable to take another looked at the nodules with mammo and ultrasound ...Read more

Infertility/amenorrh: Ultrasound can detect the reason behind irregular periods sometimes. The workup is stepwise beginning with history and physical. The medical provider will check blood work for hormone levels. You've had the pregnancy test and pap smear done so your pcp will probably order an ultrasound soon. If everything is normal then male causes of infertility will be explored. That's the usual pattern. ...Read more

Consider MRI: If your doc is sure there is a mass (or at least pretty convinced), ultrasound should be able to see it although not always. Would consider MRI for better eval. If that is negative, then i would trust that. ...Read more
