Talk to obstetrician: The whole examination places the baby below the 50th percentile so even the head will be "small". If this has been at the 34%til throughout the pregnancy then your doctor is not worried . I am disturbed by a sonographer talking outside her license. If your doctor isn't worried then the sonographer should be on the same page . Some women carry normally in the lower third . ...Read more

The muscle in my ear makes a double click when I move my head and people around me can hear. Have had this for months. Is this treatable.

The muscle in my ear makes a double click when I move my head and people around me can hear. Have had this for months. Is this treatable.

Not your ear: The sound is not likely coming from the ear itself, or a muscle at all. More likely a ligament or bone in your upper neck is the source. You would be wise to start off with a visit to,your family doctor, especially if he/she is a DO. In any case, a physiatrist may be able to help you sort this out. Good luck! ...Read more

Why do guys who are bald have much rounder and pointer heads than guys who don't get bald? Is skull growth a contributor to male pattern baldness?

Science: I like this question and i like that you are asking it. But, as a physician i can guarantee you that your hypothesis, that all balding men have a specific head shape, is incorrect. Men who are balding or are bald have every normal shape of head as any other population. Head shape in no way is a contributor to male pattern baldness. Great question though. ...Read more
