Abnormal Ekg Stress Test
What causes lower calves to swell. Had venous doppler test. Showed little reflux In one. Started when had Cdiff with abnormal ekg. Stress test okay.
Fluid in the legs: If someone has had a recent illness, swelling in the legs can be a byproduct of that-esp. if it was severe. If you had C. diff, then you probably were quite ill. I suspect your albumin must be low (a protein in the blood and correlate of good health). Leg swelling in your case is probably from tissue fluid (lymph) that's sitting there in that 3rd space. As your health recovers, it should go away. ...Read more
Stress affects most people in some way. Acute (sudden, short-term) stress leads to rapid changes throughout the body. Almost all body systems (the heart and blood vessels, immune system, lungs, digestive system, sensory organs, and brain) gear up to meet perceived danger. These stress responses could prove beneficial in a critical, life-or-death situation. Over time, however, repeated stressful situations put a strain on the body that may contribute to physical and psychological problems. Chronic (long-term) stress can have real health consequences and should be addressed like any other health concern. Fortunately, research is showing that lifestyle changes and stress-reduction techniques can help people learn ...Read more

14/11/2014 : stress test + echo + X-ray + blood test (thyroid) all normal after abnormal EKG (EkG had mention of 743: Possible inferior infarction III aVF ).
A month ago was admitted to hospital for palpitations and irregular heartbeat.
Palpitations : Can be caused by a variety of things: stress and lack of sleep, due to increase in adrenaline, stimulants such as caffeine, drugs, anxiety, or paroxysmal arrhythmias. Or any combination of the above. They already ruled out hyperthyroidism, another potential cause. If symptoms continue you can ask for a holter monitor to evaluate your heart rhythm. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
25 yrs old. I'm obese. EKG came back borderline abnormal. Insurance won't pay for stress test. What could be wrong with me? Is borderline a bad result
The EKG computer: that interprets EKGs is slanted to reflect pathology rather than normal for litigatious reasons. At your age and sex, and even though you are obese, I would bet it is actually a NORMAL EKG. This is why the insurance company won't pay. Odds are strongly against your having anything it would show other than normal. The doctor should interpret the EKG for you and not leave it up to the computer. ...Read more
Ekg came back abnormal but normal for me? Showed old high lateral infarct and TIA couldn't finish stress test on treadmill almost passed out

20 year old male in good shape, EKG abnormal but echo and stress test normal. Left arm tingles randomly, cardiac related?
I am experiencing shortness of breath (time frame: gradual onset) (severity: moderate) (worsened by: exercise or physical activity) abnormal echo 3 years ago with LVH, elevated RVSP, now ekg & stress test show RAE but current echo normal?
Improved echo: Your improved left ventricular enlargement suggests that there may have been improvement in systemic hypertension or a viral cardiomyopathy, for example. You didn't mention it the ejection fraction was reduced at that time which could have explained the shortness of breath and pulmonary hypertension. Because you're still experiencing dyspnea, maybe a consultation with a pulmonologist is indicated ...Read more
21 yr female. Heart arrhymia. Test results show an irregular EKG and stress test, but a regular chest xray and echo. What could be causing it?
Get the facts: Unless we can examine your entire ekg, holter and health history, nobody here can tell you a thing. This can be anything from the trivial extrasystoles / flipflops that most young folks' hearts do up to several times per minute in health, to something serious. Caffeine is the usual suspect in trivial disease, and if your physician tells you not to worry, then try your best to comply. ...Read more
Went to ER last night. Been dealing anxiety for the past few months. HR 130 ( unusual over 90) and BP 194/89 ( never that high). My chest was pounding so badly ( already have 24/7 after Biaxin). EKG, X-ray, blood, stress test ok. Is heart or anxiety?
Acute Anxiety: Believe in WONDER of 3 Billion muscle cells in your Heart working together to pump Blood with Oxygen to all parts of body and brain since you were born., and Even with HR 130, BP 194/89 and effects of Biaxin, EKG, X-ray, blood, stress test are normal. Isn't a stress test EKG more reliable than a resting one? If stress test is normal than I should be good?
What does "evidence of GI OVERLAP on the interior wall" in stress test means? And also "a non specific T wave abnormality" in EKG
Had stess test 6 months ago and passed. Had testing EKG today and dr found scarring. Why would scarring not show up on stress test by did on ekg?
What happens if they do a EKG and it comes back ok and they set you up do a stress test later and they said you failed the test. how come EKG test said it was ok ?
Reason for stress ts: When you exercise, your heart must work harder and pump faster. It requires a richer blood supply. At rest, you may be fine and your EKG may be normal. With exercise, your heart may be having trouble and your test may turn abnormal. That's the idea behind a stress test and that's why they're done. ...Read more
Electrocardiogram (ecg, ekg) is a print-out of the electrical forces detected by electrodes on the chest wall, as electricity travels through the heart with each heart beat. The electrodes are placed in different positions, and each position "sees" the electrical activity of the heart from its own vantage point. Abnormalities in signal detected at chest surface ...Read more
