Check with your doc: There are lots of reasons someone might have pain after sex. If the pain is in the vagina, make sure you are well lubricated prior to intercourse, either naturally or with a water based lubricant. If the pain is deeper in the pelvis it is a more complex issue that you will have to work through with your physician. Questions you should know are when was your last pap and was it normal, possible sti exposure and method of contraception, any prior history of fibroids or polyps. Possibilities: Could be fibroids, (which would show up on the transvaginal sono) they wouldn't cause the blood in the cul de sac, but could cause pain, and heavy bleeding.
