Is it common to have on-off, sharp sore pain under the ribs and upper left part of the abdomen, with no other symptoms 3days post normal colonoscopy?
3rd colonoscopy, 1st time painful during and after. Why tender in abdomen. Sedation was not effective. No gas, polyps, disease. CD in remission.?

Well, you had a good: Look at the upper and lower gastrointestinal system back in February, but it doesn't sound like you really have a diagnosis yet. This is the highest priority. Yes if it was: A difficult scope. Best to notify the endoscopist so that they can offer the best advice based on the difficulty of the procedure. It may not be very: Comfortable but there is no specific restriction for this procedure. You will receive some twilight anesthesia so potentially this could be a reason to wait as well as the potential to infect the operators and nurses doing your procedure. Afterward, he/she may burp or pass flatus from air used during the exam to inflate the GI tract. Any complications with your back would have been felt immediately post procedure if any part of your body was traumatized. Could be normal: Are you sure you had General Anesthesia? It's very unusual for colonoscopy. However you did have tube in your mouth breathing that's good cause sore throat. Possibly: If there is a disease manifested by changes in the colon and detectable by colonoscopy, definitely! You might also benefit from other imaging studies including ultrasound, CT scan, etc. But this would depend upon the clinical situation. R/O IBS: IBS = irritable bowel syndrome is a diagnosis of exclusion. SX can be managed You need a full exam and blood work. Especially screen for H pylori. Possible constipatio: Are you perhaps constipated? The fact that the colonoscopy helped you previously might mean that the bowel prep had alleviated the symptoms.
