I have been having strong lower abdominal pain but mostly if i push down on my stomach also not eating like normal. Also hurts when I use the bathroom #2. What could be wrong?

Many possibilities: There are many possibilities. You really do need to be examined to find out the cause of your pain. As a general rule of thumb, any pain in the abdominal area that is significant and lasts more than four hours should be evaluated in an emergency room setting. Possibilities include diverticulitis , crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, tumors, infections, polyps, hemorrhoids causing the pain when youdefecate. Abd pain: you need to go to the ER and have this evaluated It could be any thing from just gas/constipation to more serious promblem such as colitis/appendicitis/gallblaber/pancreas/or gyn problems such as pelvic infection-----need more information--but if you are having that much symptoms--esp if you have fever You would need to go to the ER----also have you missed your period?--could be preg? ...Read more

Needs evaluation: There are multiple things that can cause r sided abdominal pain. Some will resolve on their own but some may require surgery to correct the problem. Need more info: Have you seen a Dr for this ? Sounds like ulcer vs gall bladder, but without examination, impossible to tell.. Does it change, depending on the type of foods you eat ? R/O IBS: IBS = irritable bowel syndrome is a diagnosis of exclusion. SX can be managed You need a full exam and blood work. Especially screen for H pylori . Also stool screen x 3 for occult blood /parasite/hpylori . you also need a baseline colonoscopy. While you are getting these items checked out you should ditch to a gluten free high fiber diet . Abdominal pain: Several things can cause abdominal pain after eating. The most common would be an ulcer in the stomach or irritable bowel syndrome. You could try taking an over-the-counter antacid medication to see if this improves your symptoms. Also avoid caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications, and spicy foods.
