Right abdomen pain and right back pain at times what symptoms would you have with pancreatic cancer? If pain was in this area? Feels tight all around

Unlikely: Pancreatic Cancer is rare under the age of 40, so I seriously doubt that you have this diagnosis. If your symptoms do not settle down with antacids like Zantac (ranitidine) daily, then you should have a physician examine you and may also do a CT Scan of the abdomen which is the best way to check for any hidden tumor/growth or Cancer.

Epigastric pain, back and upper right quad pain for 6 weeks. Pancreas ct scan with contrast normal. Worried about pancreatic cancer. Ct reassuring?

Epigastric pain, back and upper right quad pain for 6 weeks. Pancreas ct scan with contrast normal. Worried about pancreatic cancer. Ct reassuring?

YES: The CT is reassuring however a lesion in your upper GI tract (esophagus/stomach) should be ruled out as well! Ask the Health Care Provider who ordered your CT scan...he/she probably can "take a look" (endoscopy) Hope this helps/good luck/be well Dr Z

If I have pain in my abdomen, dowd that mean I might have pancreatic cancer?

If I have pain in my abdomen, dowd that mean I might have pancreatic cancer?

Very very unlikely: There are many things that can cause abdominal pain other than pancreatic cancer. Additionally, pancreatic cancer is very rare and even rarer in a 31yo.

Girlfriend getting very strong pain in abdomen, her sister died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. She is 21 and vegan if this makes a difference?

Girlfriend getting very strong pain in abdomen, her sister died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. She is 21 and vegan if this makes a difference?

Question?: What exactly is the question? There are multiple multiple things that could be causing abdominal pain in a female. I can understand her concern due to her family history but you and her need to understand that out bodies are complex and there are many other things that could be causing her pain. I advise you to have her go to see a doctor for a physical exam and proper diagnostic studies.

How frequent can be CT-Scans be taken and still be considered safe - esp. Looking at the abdomen? I worry about Pancreatic Cancer even with IBS-C

Additive exposure: Each ct scan is well within the safe limits of radiation exposure, but each one is additive in terms if exposure, making ct scan a poor choice for any life long routine imaging tool. In other words, the effect of radiation exposure doesn't go away over time. IF you really need serial imaging, maybe MRI is a better choice. (Note the IF part) Hope this helps!

Pains in upper abdomen and back. ALT 71. Dual phase pancreas scan normal. Really worried about pancreatic cancer. CT scan reassuring? Thanks

Pains in upper abdomen and back. ALT 71. Dual phase pancreas scan normal. Really worried about pancreatic cancer. CT scan reassuring? Thanks

Diagnosing cancer: No one test is 100% perfect but a normal looking CT scan of the pancreas can be reassuring. Very very early stages of any cancer sometimes can be not visible under a CT scan.

28 yo clear colonoscopy and endoscopy, and all full blood work that came back normal as well. Could pancreatic cancer be causing my low abdomen pain?

28 yo clear colonoscopy and endoscopy, and all full blood work that came back normal as well. Could pancreatic cancer be causing my low abdomen pain?

Highly unlikely: Put your mind at ease. Pancreatic cancer is rare below age 45. The pain of pancreatic cancer usually is in the pit of the stomach, not the lower abdomen, and radiates around to the sides and/or straight thru to the back. It may be intermittent and made worse by eating or lying supine. It is frequently worse at night. Lying in a curled or fetal position may improve the pain.

Pancreatic cancer? Upper abdomen pain, some burning, mid back pain & hip, I do have poor posture.

Pancreatic cancer? Upper abdomen pain, some burning, mid back pain & hip, I do have poor posture.

RARE: pancreatic cancer is rare comparing to other digestive disease cancer. It could be your pancreas causing the pain, it could be an ulcer, or gallbladder disease they all can cause same symptoms. See your doctor, they will evaluate either assure you, or treat you. Start by watching your diet, take anti acid and medication from OTC, like zantaz, or prilosec. either way see your doctor please. Good luck.

25, male. How do I deal with my hypochondria? I'm tired of thinking a stomach ache is something dumb like pancreatic cancer or something else serious.

Intermittent ache under rib cage. Stomach ache after eating. For few weeks. What could be the cause? Scared of pancreatic cancer!!

Intermittent ache under rib cage. Stomach ache after eating. For few weeks. What could be the cause? Scared of pancreatic cancer!!

Too young for cancer: You should consult your doctor if the pain does not go away in 2 weeks. Pancreatic Cancer is not the likely cause in your case as it is extremely rare under the age of 40 years.

36 female, tender spot near spine right side, mid back. Pain between shoulder blades, right abdomen pain loose stool after eating? Pancreas cancer?

36 female, tender spot near spine right side, mid back. Pain between shoulder blades, right abdomen pain loose stool after eating? Pancreas cancer?

No: The st common tumor of the pancreas arises in the head and is associated with painless jaundice. Body lesions which can cause back pain have anorexia and wt. Loss. When there is back pain and loose stools think of steatorrhea where fat is not absorbed due to severe pancreatitis and not a malignancy

I'm noticing signs of pancreatic cancer: diarrhea and abdominal pain, and itching. What can I do?

Not specific!!!: Hi. Holy cow! You're 17! Do you have any idea how rare pancreatic cancer is in 17 year olds?! Do you have ANY IDEA how many VASTLY more common things there are that cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, and itching in 17 year olds?! Please avoid the temptation to self diagnose. How about you go to college and medical school if you want to get into diagnostics? NO symptom is specific for disease.

I have some abdominal pain and sometimes nausea. How common is pancreatic cancer at age 20? No diabetes, not overweight, no smoking or alcohol.

I have some abdominal pain and sometimes nausea. How common is pancreatic cancer at age 20? No diabetes, not overweight, no smoking or alcohol.

Pancreatic cancer...: Is extremely uncommon in a person your age in the absence of a familial cancer syndrome (which are also rare). There are far more common causes of nausea and abdominal pain than pancreatic cancer, and if your symptoms persist, you should see your doctor to be evaluated. Good luck.

I have strong stomach pain dark urine and mild itchy skin could I have pancreatic cancer. I'm in er as I type I'm just very nervous?

Stay strong: I am sorry to hear this. I am sure you are nervous. It sounds like you are having some symptoms related to the pancreatic cancer and involvement of maybe the liver as well? I am sure they will be able to help you in the ER and then triage you to the correct place for treatment. Stay strong and try to relax, which I know is easier said than done.

Upper right abdominal pain under ribs, back pain in same area, burning between shoulder blades, lose bowel pancreatic cancer? Stressed

Pancreatic CA: The sx your list can be related to pancreatic cancer. Pts who have pain in RUQ can also have gallstones...which at your age would be very likely while the pancreatic ca would be uncommon, esp if you don't smoke. Stress can cause lots of sx. You should see your local doc for check up. They can help even if its stress related.
