I have been having upper abdominal pain and diarrhea for a week now. At first it was periodic and now it is constant. I have not had a fever. What's up

Diarrhea: The differential diagnosis for abdominal pain and diarrhea is extensive. Including infection, malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease, . Allergy or food intolerance., and endocrine disorder. You really need to discuss with your physician. A weeks duration is not horribly worrisome but all disease states have a beginning. The sooner the work up begins the sooner the diagnosis and appropriate tx.

Stomach aches diarrhea had my gallbladder removed 4 months ago constant pain in the abdomen area have to go to the restroom everytime I eat?

Post op gallbladder: Diarrhea is an extremely rare side effect of gallbladder surgery. This is due to inadequate amount of bile to digest food. Medical supplementation of bile salts is always the answer but you need to see you doctor and rule out any other source of you pain such as a surgical complication.

Burning mid/upper abdominal pain. And sometimes back. Vomiting and diarrhea for few hrs this morn have subsided but pain remains. What could this be?

Gallbladder: Could be what is called biliary colic, especially if it awakens you from sleep or radiates to your back as you suggest. Also consider a stomach problem - gastritis, ulcers. See a doctor.

Hard to say: Sorry but this is tough to answer "online" do you have fever? is there blood in the diarrhea? have you had any stomach/intestinal issues in the past? Does anyone else @home have same symptoms? If the answers to above are No....Try eating "lightly"over next 24hrs. I. no dairy spicy foods etc...be sure to drink water/teas etc so you don't get dehydrated....if no improvement, see your Dr. Good luc

I just started birth control last night, fell asleep and woke up the next morning to upper abdominal pain, diarrhea, & sob...Is this a side effect?

I just started birth control last night, fell asleep and woke up the next morning to upper abdominal pain, diarrhea, & sob...Is this a side effect?

Probably not: These are not usual side effect symptoms of oral contraceptives. It is more likely that your intestinal disorder is due to another cause. That being said, certain people have unusual (but not serious) reactions to any number of drugs...Sort of falls into the saying "everyone is different". I would suggest continuing your pills as they are most likely not the cause of these symptoms.

Having severe headache, middle back pain and neck pain, upper abdominal pain (can't lay on side) diarrhea. Just diagnosed with strep yesterday. Help!

Strep: Common symptoms include headache fever and sore throat. Other symptoms include: nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, muscle pain, or rash. The diarrhea could be related to the anabiotic and if it is persistent could actually be an anabiotic associated infection called c diff colitis. If the diarrhea persists a stool sample will be necessary. Otherwise alternating tylenol (acetaminophen) and Ibuprofen plenty of rest and fluids is the treatment.

Upper/middle back pain a little towards the left also accompanied by upper abdominal pain sometimes after meals. No vomiting or diarrhea?

Upper/middle back pain a little towards the left also accompanied by upper abdominal pain sometimes after meals. No vomiting or diarrhea?

Gutsy call here: Some spinal conditions may cause abdominal pain but symptoms would not be meal-related. Some abdominal conditions cause back pain & commonly are meal-related. So it seems your problem is in your belly, not your back.
