The : The source of vaginal bleeding after sex is most commonly from the cervix - the part of the uterus that hangs into your vagina. It is most likely just cervical irritation from the friction of sex. As long as you are premenopausal, the bleeding is infrequent, and you have normal, regular pap smears, then you don't have to see your doctor for it. If you are postmenopausal, have bleeding that is heavy or every time you have sex, or if you have had abnormal paps smears in the past, you should see your doctor to rule out more serious causes such as cervical cancer or infection. Good luck! ...Read more

Belly Pain (Definition)

Abdominal pain is pain that you feel anywhere between your chest and groin. This is often referred to as the stomach region or belly. Almost everyone experiences pain in the abdomen at one time or another. Most of the time, it is not caused by a serious medical problem. There are many organs in the abdomen. Pain in the abdomen can originate from any one of them, including: Organs related to digestion -- the end of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas The aorta -- a large blood vessel that runs straight down the inside of the abdomen The appendix -- an organ in the lower right abdomen that no longer serves much function The kidneys -- two bean-shaped organs that lie deep within the abdominal cavity The spleen -- an organ involved in blood maintenance and infection control However, the pain may start from somewhere else -- like your chest or pelvic area. You may also have a generalized infection, such as the flu or strep throat, that affects many parts of your body. The intensity of the pain does not always reflect the seriousness of the condition causing the pain. Severe abdominal pain can be from mild conditions, such as gas or the cramping of viral gastroenteritis. On the other hand, relatively mild pain or no pain may be present with life-threatening conditions, such as cancer of the ...Read more

Sorry, need moretest: Not sure, problem is, your problems are really not specific.. so really track what makes it better or worse. if u were treated for yeast( what is sounds like), they may have missed a bacteria infection. be good with a lot of water, low sugar, take vitamins, and if u are not getting better in a day or so, go back. U may need an antibiotic to get better. be SURE they did all ur STD testing, btw.. ...Read more

Need doctor to check: Most likely it's just a hormonal issue as she is getting closer to menopause. But it's unpredictable how long & how heavy the bleeding will be. Severe anemia is possible. This kind of bleeding is very treatable with medications, implants, interventions & surgery. But cause must be determined for proper treatment. Non-cancerous or cancerous tumors are possible as well as thyroid disease & others. ...Read more

Diagnosed with multiple uterine fibroids, the largest is 2cm. I suffer from intense abdominal pain 2 weeks before menses. Can small fibroids cause that?

Unlikely: Fibroids are very common and hardly ever cause pain. If one is really symptomatic like that it may not be a fibroid. Adenomyosis would be a consideration, cancer much much more rarely. With midcycle pain the first consideration would be ovulatory pain. ...Read more
