This is embarrassing but when I sit down to deficate or ejaculate I get horrible lower abdomen muscle cramps. Is the cause pushing or what? Thanks.

Check calcium level : My first thought would be that your calcium levels or thyroid hormone levels are not right. I's possible to have long lasting drop in calcium after a thyroidectomy. Please ask your pmd or surgeon if these have been checked recently, if they are off, these levels should be corrected.
