Colonoscopy?: Did you have a colonoscopy yet? If you haven't then discuss this with your GI docs. That being said, the most common cause of blood in the stools would be hemorrhoids and that may be why the GI doc is not concerned. Constipation: If x-rays consistent with constipation you recommend a "MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol)" cleanout. This involves staying close to home and a toilet and I would give her one capful of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) in 8 ounces of diluted Gatorade ( I like G2 Half water, half G2).
