Abdominal Cramps After Colonoscopy Rct
Sometimes after a normal BM I feel like my abdominal sides cramp and hurt. Colonoscopy normal. Been SIBO free for a year. Am wondering why?
Alarm signs to check: Maybe IBS; maybe not GI. Recurrent abdominal discomfort is first addressed by accompanying signs/symptoms that may localize the organ involved: vaginal discharge or bleeding, alteration in periods, pregnancy risk? Fever, nausea, vomiting, altered stool pattern, blood with stool, tenderness, distension? Painful urination, blood in urine? Recent trauma, herniations? Risk factors? Other tests done? ...Read more
Sir I'm suffering from severe abdominal gastric cramps since 10 years have undergone colonoscopy, endoscopy and other tests nothing traced, please help?
Complete evaluation: You need a complete evaluation by a gastroenterologist well-versed in functional bowel issues. I suggest that you start keeping a food journal where you write down what you ate, at what time, when you develop symptoms, and what the symptoms are. Sometimes food allergies can cause this, and other times it ends up being an entity called irritable bowel disorder. In any case, see your doctor. ...Read more
Two days posted colonoscopy still gassy and having pain cramps in lower abdomen not severe also no bm yet tried to go yesterday mucus with tan blood?
Colonoscopy.: It is not unusual to have some gassiness and to not yet have had a bowel movement on the second day after a colonoscopy. However, it is not normal to have any bleeding afterwards. If you are having bleeding, you should call the doctor who did your colonoscopy to discuss it. Good luck. ...Read more
I am a 47 yr old female. I have severe abdominal bloating, (colonoscopy showed nothing), pelvic cramps, no menstrual periods for 3 months, and backac?
Several things: At 47 you are in the perimenopause and skipping periods is common. It may well be that the skipped periods aren't related to your backache, bloating, and pelvic cramping. A normal colonoscopy doesn't rule out irritable bowel syndrome which can cause these symptoms. Talk to your PCP, GYN, or the doctor who did your colonoscopy about this. ...Read more
My Dr suspects IBD (due to stool sample result) - awaiting colonoscopy. Taking Doxycycline for Lyme. Am I likely to get C Diff? Currently have upper abdominal cramps, are they normal with Doxycycline?
Not uncommon: Doxycycline needs be taken with food but even then many people have gastric upset from it. It is impossible to predict whether you will have C difficile problem but I would recommend you take a probiotic whenever you are on an antibiotic. If your stomach still bothers you, ask your doctor to Rx an alternative. ...Read more

Been eating dairy not using my pills have severe stomach cramps diahrea and bloody mucus 52 had colonoscopy less than year ago came out good?
Get an exam: You may have lactose intolerance. An infectious agent is also possible. Bloody mucus is something that should be checked out. If there is a focus of cancer it can often be cured if caught early enough. I suggest discussing this with the same physician who did your colonoscopy as soon as possible. ...Read more
Stomach cramps especially right of navel after every first meal, acid reflux my whole life. First colonoscopy/endoscopy. What could be the cause?
I have had rectal bleeding, on and off for several months. Along with bad stomach cramps after eating. Nothing on colonoscopy.
Above or below: Blood in the stool and pain after eating could be signs of a gastric ulcer, in addition to the colonoscopy, you probably need an EGD (Endoscopic Gastro-Duodenoscopy, camera from above) to rule out a bleeding gastric ulcer. These typically present with stomach pain that is worsened by eating and blood in the stool (usually dark black stools or hidden, occult, blood on lab testing). ...Read more

My wife got menstrual on 19th feb, we started regular sex from 26to5 (to concieve) now she is feeling abdomen cramps & pain. Is it sign of preganancy?
Not from this cycle:
You had intercourse from cycle day 7 to cycle day 14. In a 28 cycle ovulation usually takes place on cycle day 14. Would only have conceived four days ago, so likely not pregnancy related symptoms from this cycle.
Ovarian cysts or an abnormal pregnancy from last cycle should be ruled out. Call your doctor if pain significant or she now has a positive home pregnancy test. ...Read more

Pregnant?: Often times when there is a faint line in a pregnancy test, it's a sign that you are pregnant and it's very early in the pregnancy. You might want to consider repeating the test in two days. You're saying you're having cramping, which sometimes is a sign of a miscarriage. Thus it's also possible that you are pregnant but are going to miscarry. Only time will tell. ...Read more

Could be viral: Stomach cramps can be associated with many things, including viral illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract. This pain is typically cramping, intermittent and around the naval.
