A contained perforation causes pain, but is not characterized as burning, more likely as a constant sharp pain. Skin stretching: Being 28 weeks pregnant and having burning on the lower abdomen that improves when lifting the uterus up sounds like it is coming from the abdominal wall. As the uterus gets bigger the skin gets stretched, when stretches the nerves in the skin and can cause the nerves to give a burning sensation. May or may not be: Spotting in small amounts (less than a dime size) that is intermittent typically nothing to worry about, but always mention it to your physician. More that a little spotting should always be immediately evaluated by a physician. Abdominal burning is also common. Try Tums or Zantac (ranitidine) and see if that helps.
