Would get checked: If you say that you just started having hardened abdomen along with history of tubal ligation, I would definitely go get checked in the ER, at least be examined by a medical personnel. I wouldn't worry much but I would get checked. Bowel pelvic adhesio: Bowel pelvic adhesions post supra cervical hysterectomy or total hysterectomy, may cause similar symptoms due to bowel inflammation. The intestine can get stuck in an area such as vaginal cuff, or other respected areas in the pelvis due to inflammation or bleeding. No: I would highly recommend removing them laparoscopically (minimally invasive approach). Although this method is more difficult to perform, for the patients, there will be great benefit (cosmetically small pleasing scars, 2 week recovery, less pain, quicker return to work).
