Yes : You are still healing & it's normal to feel sore as you do more activities. Take Ibuprofen with or without tylenol (acetaminophen) for the discomfort. You can substitute naprosyn (aleve) instead of the Ibuprofen if you prefer. By 6 weeks you should feel more normal & get clearance from your surgeon before returning to all normal activities. Ask your gyn?: Obviously you have a gynecologist so first step is to discuss symptoms with him/her. If you had ovaries removed you are having menopausal symptoms. Without more of a health history, impossible to answer with any certainty though. ...Read more

I am 7 days post vaginal hysterectomy with posterior andanterior repair. It still feels sore, specially when sitting. Isthis normal or am i too impatient?

Varies: The vaginal hysterectomy has the fastest recovery, if that was the only procedure done you would be feeling well at 7 days, maybe a little pressure. The posterior repair has the longest recovery time, and you may be sore for up to one month. Hopefully your surgeon recommended some post operative wound care- sitz baths, etc. If recovery doesn't seem right, call the surgeon. ...Read more
