Doctor insights on:
My IUD is inserted Feb 20, 1st Day of Mens is Feb 19, IUD removal is Mar 5 due to very painful abdomen. Sex last Mar 3 Eve. Am I going to get preggy?
Low Probability: As you had sex while the IUD was still in the uterus (Sex Mar3, IUD removal Mar5), the chance of preg is quite small. Based on your last menstrual cycle, Mar 3 is around midcycle, which is around ovulation. However, the IUD in place is protective. Did you have the Mirena (levonorgestrel) or the Paraguard IUD? Either way, chance of preg is low. Without birth control, there is a 20% chance preg/month; Lower w/IUD.See 1 more doctor answer
Family practice: Pain with intercourse is not normal especially into the next day. If you haven't been seen for it I would recommend that you do. Inflammation or swelling or infection could be present.
I'm 16, and I ovulated on the 8th of this month. I've been getting light pain radiating from right to left on my lower abdomen. No sex.
Really sharp pains in my lower abdomen during sex and ocationally if I move a certain way. It has occurred for 2 weeks now. Should I be worried?
Exam: Pain is always worth having checked out and discussed with a medical professional. It may be positional during intercourse, but it should not take a long examination to either reassure you that it's just mechanical or decide it may be something anatomical, like a cyst, and suggest a solution.
Gyn exam: You need to have a gyn exam to see if there are structural issues that can cause this problem.
I have been having pain in the right side of abdomen during sex and I've noticed my tummy is always bloated/swollen.
I get really sharp pain in my lower abdomen during sex. We've tried different positions to see if that was it and it's still there, what is it?
Needs to be checked: It is very diddicult to tell you what is causing your pain without more detailed history and physical exam I suggest you get it checked by your medical doctor to find what is causing this.
I feel pain in lower left side of abdomen during sex for a week now. What could it be, and should I visit doctor at once, or just observe if it stops?
I am having pain in my abdomen during sex in a particular position. Also faced urine infection last month and having little pain while emptying bladder?
Re-check urine: Probably re-current UTI sounds like a big part of the problem. There may also be a uterine problem or ovary and seeing your gyn for an ultrasound would probably be the next step.See 1 more doctor answer
See a GYN MD: Unfortunately, there are multiple answers to your concern that need a physical exam to delineate.
I had a sharp pain in my left lower abdomen during sex in a position that's normally comfortable for me what could this be? Went to gyne 19 nov 2013
Ovarian cyst: In your age a ovarian cyst would be most suspect. If pain recurrs or gets worse you should go back to the gyn.
Several conditions: Several conditions can cause pain after intercourse. Knowing your menstrual, gynecological history would help. You should see a gynecologist for further evaluation, since it seems this is affecting you. Possible conditions include endometriosis, uti's, ovarian cyst, fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis. Brignonimd. Com.See 1 more doctor answer
I had a positive OPK for 8 days in a row and now they are negative. Could this mean I'm pregnant? There's also pain in my lower abdomen during sex.
Take the test: If you want to know if you are pregnant, take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.
Pregnancy test.: Abdominal pain isn't a great indicator of pregnancy (it's too nonspecific). Some people who are pregnant have belly pains, and other people who are pregnant don't. The best thing to do is an at home urine pregnancy test. If it's negative and you still think you might be pregnant, do another test in 1 week. Hope this helps!
