Fully disagree: There is NO solid evidence anywhere that gluten causes Alzheimer's disease, and there is NO relationship with Celiac disease and dementia, but Celiac disease does cause a Peripheral Small Fibre Neuropathy. We have some anecdotal cases of gluten sensitivity affecting MS indirectly, and maybe transient worsening of other conditions, but no Alzheimer's links. ...Read more

Holistic docs/ ND's: Many docs (including me) often recommend herbs. I also prescribe my share of pharmaceuticals, but i advise herbs more often than drugs. It depends on what I am treating & to some degree my patient's preference- some are more wary of drugs than others! i find that herbs are safer & often more effective than drugs, also more affordable.
