Abc Diet Plan For Diarrhea For Kids
I have been eating a boiled egg for breakfast as part of a diet plan I'm trying.... it has been giving me upset stomach & diarrhea bad. Why??
Boiled eggs: I strongly suggest you stop eating eggs for a week or so and see if things improve. If so then cut down your egg intake. If not, please see your doctor to find out why.
Refers to all the physical matter humans (like all living creatures) must take in on a recurring basis; only partially for energy. Like all life on planet humans are open systems which keep tearing down their structure & require intake of atoms/molecules from which to rebuild their structure. Intestinal lining cells replaced ~every 3 days. CaPO4 in bones ~every 6 years, ...Read more
I'm 36. Been having diarrhea with blood filled toilet & passing blood clots for weeks now. Mucous too. Dieting 2 mths & lost 38 lbs. Any advice?
See your doctor: Please see you doctor soon. This could be simple as gastroenteritis or serious as a bleed in GI tract. You will need CBC and endoscopy. If your hemoglobin levels are low you can have dizziness, fatique, syncope and shortness of breath. If low you need have a transfusion. Then the source of the bleed needs to be identified and treated.
My three year old has had diarrhea for almost a month but without any other symptoms or change in diet. Is this something to be concerned about? Tks
CHRONIC DIARRHEA....: Most of the diarrhea are viral origin, no blood in stool, not much cramp or fever, resolves by an week or so. If longer, your child need to have an exam, test to find out the cause. Check with the child's pediatrician. By the time, give her pedialyte for each diarrhea, some yogurt, bananna, rice, applesauce, toast, etc.
I've had diarrhea for 6 weeks and OTC medication doesn't seem to help. Channged my diet but still the same. What else can I do? What is causing this?
See your doctor.: There are many possible causes of diarrhea, most of which are self-limited and resolve on their own in a week or two. Since yours has been going to longer, I think you should see your doctor to help sort out the problem. In the meantime, try increasing the amount of fiber in your diet and drinking plenty of fluids. Good luck.
BRAT is an acronym..: ...For bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. It does tend to help, but is probably too restrictive. Just avoid dairy, sweets (including juices), and very fatty foods until the stools are more normal.
BRAT for acute runs: Start with bananas, rice (white), applesauce (has pectin), tea and toast (white)- easily absorbed. Fluids, not just water. Advance and add protein: miso soup goes down easy; add baked, boiled chicken, fish, potato, plain pasta; advance as tolerated. Add in cooked veggies (save salad and citrus for later). Chronic? See md probiotics, eg. S boulardii (florastor) can be helpful. Not better see doc.
What is the good diet for my friend who have diarrhea for 3 days and taking medicine for it as prescribed?
Avoid fat, dairy: A bland diet low in fat and avoiding dairy may help. Smaller, more frequent meals may also be better tolerated.
I have diarrhea that comes in cycles every 3 days. Is something wrong? I tried dramatically switching my diet, but nothing works!
It depends: If you have no bowel movements at all during the intervening days you may actually be having constipation as well. I recommend a psyllium based fiber supplement and the probiotic align. You should also be tested for celiac disease. You should discuss this with your doctor i'd you have not already.
Liquid diet: It can, but it really depends on what you are drinking. Normally, just drinking liquids doesn't give you diarrhea. If the liquids contain a high amount of sugar, fats, or dairy (among other things), it is possible that your GI tract may not handle that well and the result can be diarrhea.
I am bloated, have diarrhea, gained 3 inches on my waist. Haven't made a major diet change. Please help me to stop feeling this way.
Get labs: It sounds like you need to see an MD and get some lab work to rule out possible thyroid disease based on the wt gain. You may want to consider testing for celiac disease also. Your MD needs to do a thorough history (including family history) and physical exam. More tests may be needed (liver enzymes etc) to help diagnose you. Try a probiotic supplement for the bloating and keep a food diary.
I have had diarrhea for 2 weeks since home repair (ceilings) no diet changes. Better last weekend when I was out of town. Back now. What is it?
Doctor can evaluate: Colon or rectum symptoms, or diarrhea, can be due to irritation (inflammation) or infection. Symptoms can occur from Giardia infections, infectious viruses or bacteria, inflammatory bowel, celiac disease, etc... Lactose intolerance, or eating excess fruits or sugarfree sweeteners like maltitol or sorbitol, can also cause symptoms. A primary care doctor, or a G.I. doctor, can evaluate and do tests.
I'm doing the optifast diet and I'm in week 2. Everything is great except constant diarrhea. I've also been taking benefiber once a day. Advice?
Wt loss is water wt: That is not sustainable weight loss and it can mess up your electrolytes and cause you serious harm! That is like wringing out a water soaked towel and saying "See how much lighter it is! " As soon as you start eating normally again the water will return as will your frustration and anger with your latest fad diet. As has been said in another context "There is no Royal road to geometry."
Had normal bm's. Last two mnths hard bm's every 5-6 days, now for the last week diarrhea, couple x's a day. Have fms/cf. Your thoughts? Diet normal.

I have bad mucusy greasy urgent diarrhea. I have now begun passing undigested food. On the scd diet rec. By gastro. Dr. She has not helped me much?
Bland diet: Eat a bland diet, such as rice cereal and bananas, nothing greasy or fried. Stop milkand dairy products as well as juice. You should improve in 4-5 days.
Get checked: You've been asking a lot of questions on this site about prolonged diarrhea. I think it's time to see a doctor face-to-face! Good luck.
A little: Due to the imbalance of healthy bacteria killed by the antibiotics, you need to establish good bacteria in the colon. There are foods that can help do this in addition to the brat diet. Whole wheat products, bananas help for short chained fructooligosaccharides which promote the growth of healthy bacteria in the colon and reestablish the balance between yeast and good bacteria.
Loose stools is a symptom in which a person's stool (poop) does not hold its shape after it goes into the toilet.
