Depends: Everybody is different . There is no size of plan fits all. Benzodiazepines have a more immediate effect. SSRI take 4-6 weeks to have full effect for anxiety and depression. Will my doc rx xanax (alprazolam): Only your prescribing doc will be able to determine if he/she believes that you would best and most safely be treated with Xanax (alprazolam) for your panic disorder, while taking suboxone. It does sound like there would be reason for concern, as both meds are respiratory depressants. First line treatment for panic disorder is an SSRI +/- talk therapy. Keep hope!: Panic disorder is a curable condition. Possibly what you have been trying to alleviate it by individual and group therapy was not the right fit for u. My recommendation for u is to find an experienced psychiatrist and get a new evaluation of your condition. You should be offered more options including psychopharmacology.
