Interesting question: There are gazillions of fad diet programs out there & don't be hard on yourself if you feel like a deer in the headlights trying to figure out which one to select. Low-carb diets (depending on how low you go) work well, but you don't want to starve your brain from glucose. Yes and No: Yes, you are right in that excess of carbs/sugars get converted into fat. So do eat carbs, but in moderation. Eating fat doe snot do any good, so i would say no to your second question. What you need to do is choose a balanced diet which has ample amounts of plant based foods which are free of both fats and avoid too much sugar.
