How to know if my digestive system works properly? I mean does it save essential vitamins for my body? And what are the symptoms if it does not?
Stable weight is ok: If you are not losing weight quickly then your digestive system is probably fine. If you were losing weight, having lots of blood in your stool/bowel movements, or constant diarrhea, that would be the sign of more serious digestive problems. Vitamin deficiency is rare if you are eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. Those symptoms are highly variable and would need labs to test to confirm. ...Read more

Absolutelynot: The majority of studies show no. Enefits from taking multivitamins unless you are deficient! In which case you should first turn to food sources to address the deficiency. Don't buy into the hype about the value of these pills. There is little to no value, and potential harm in taking them. You definitely don't need them at your age and you are probably duplicating between the products you alread. ...Read more
What daily vitamin supplements are truly essential amd healthy. And what is the daily recommended percentage value? Why do some have 1000%
It depends...: All vitamins are, by definition, essential, but most supplements are not essential; it's ideal to get vits from our diet but most people have a poor diet that's deficient in vits. The daily value is the amount that prevents deficiency in most but is not the amount needed for optimal health so it can be beneficial to take extra amounts. We all need to take vit d in winter. All animal foods:
All meats, dairy ; eggs have b12; no vegetarian foods have it unless fortified. Best sources are clams ; beef liver (only have liver if organic). Many have difficulty absorbing B12 ; are thus low even if they eat foods rich in b12; they need injections or sublingual methylcobalamin.

I have heard that the contraceptive pill depletes essential vitamins. Is this true? And if it is, what vitamins should I be taking to make up for it?
Oral bcp: vitamins: There is no correlation known about specific "depletion" of essential vitamins with oral contraceptives. If you were to become a total vegan, what is the smallest combination of food items needed to get all the essential vitamins, and fatty & amino acids?
You can't: If you become a non-supplementing vegan, you will ruin your health. Clinicians describe it as so common that there's even a "vegetarian's myelopathy", a disease of the spinal cord from B12 deficiency, with numbness and paralysis of the legs.
