See ped, dietitian: You do not want to lose too much weight at this age, you are still growing. What you want is not to gain more weight currently. I would seek out a pediatric dietitian to give you accurate calorie counts depending on your level of activity

Easy: Just eat plenty of healthy fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes. Meat portion is 3 ounces a serving, fish is six ounces, make half your plate fresh vegetables, have a fruit as a snack. Have 5-7 helpings of fruits and vegetables a day. Eat a balanced diet. Skim milk- you don't need the fat.

No safe way: There is no safe way to lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. The best way to lose weight is slowly 1-2 lbs a week max by a combination of a healthy diet and exercise. However check in with your doctor first to see if weight loss is warranted.

Healthy foods!: It depends on how tall you are, if your weight is a problem. See your doctor if you are worried about growth or dealing with an eating disorder. Your diet should be about eating enough fresh real food, and not food from packages or mixes. Organic food, free of pesticides, is ideal. Eat brightly colored fruits and vegetables. Avoid fried foods and sugar (ex: sugared drinks).

Patience: You might have to wait until your metabolism changes as you mature. A diet with a good balance of protein, fats, veggies, fruits and grain is the best way to go, and weight lifting and resistance exercise can add muscle, the best kind of weight to add.

Here are some...: Just knowing your weight is not enough information. It helps to know a person's height as well. I don't like to see teenagers "dieting". Make smart choices. Eat healthy and in proper proportions. Cut out the junk food/sweetened drinks. Increase physical activity. Get up and move: 30 minutes continuous movement 3x per week minimum

You can do it: You will need to supplement for protein, perhaps with soy powder for vegetarians, and as a vegan, you MUST supplement for vitamin B12, iron, iodine, calcium and a few others or you will ruin your health (even damage your brain permanently). Mixing vegetable proteins helps you get a balance of amino acids ("completeness") but this probably won't be enough. Good luck with this adventure.

Teen age weight: The best way to loose weight is with control of diet and exercise. For most teens the fastest way to do this is to cut out sugary beverages from their diet (soda, juice, coffee drinks, gatorade, etc). From one 12oz sugary drink each day in addition to all the regular foods a person will gain almost 20lbs per year! Cut that out and fast weight loss. Healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs/week.

Impossible: I'm sorry to tell you that this is impossible. Bone growth occurs at a part of the bone called the growth plate (near the ends of the bones). The growth plates "close" (basically disappear) in men between the ages of 18-21. After that there is no way to grow taller. Height is mostly genetic but there are measures that might have increased growth a bit if tried when younger but you're fully grown.

No junk food: Simple sugars and processed carbs should be avoided or limited. This includes any flour product. The fine grind makes absorption quick, and spikes your blood sugar which increases Insulin and promotes weight gain. Good fats such as olive oil and coconut oil are fine in sensible amounts. Eat a rainbow of lots of organic vegetables and 3 oz protein with each meal 5 hours apart. No soda.

Not enough room here: Take her to see a good dietitian as well as her own doctor. Weight control is more than just diet alone, especially in an adolescent girl. In brief, provide whole, unprocessed foods. Eliminate fast foods and most sugar. Lead by example. Exercise together - have fun moving. Teach her that food is primarily to satisfy hunger, not to turn to when bored, angry, tired or sad.

Goal for Diet plan: Is related to total calorie intake and quality of food. Less calories from carbohydrates and more on fruits and vegetables, fish and gluten-free, organics may help. Stay away from cholesterol-rich food. Err on the side of less rather than more quantity. Food rich in anti-oxidants will be a plus. But, more than diet should be an exercise plan daily and has to be consistent. Antiplatelet agents.
