I have a full feeling in my throat. It is not all the time and seems to be better at times then gets worse. It's in the lower part of my throat.. ?
Globus: Your description of fluctuating sense of throat fullness is suggestive of globus sensation which may be due to mucosal inflammation or irritation from below (acid reflux) or above (allergic rhinitis, PND or food allergy). Possibly reflux: Stomach juice can come into the throat causing the symptoms you describe. Sleep with the lower part of your neck elevated above your abdomen (semi-sitting). Do not eat or drink anything for 3 hours prior to going to bed. Take Prilosec otc before breakfast and Zantac (ranitidine) 150 before dinner. No coffee, tea, soda, tomatoe products. Stomach issues: It looks like you've had some work up done (egd/colonoscopy), although, I am not sure of the outcome based on no info provided. You will need to discuss this with your gastoenterologist. R/O TONSILITIS: LATYNGITIS and recurrent sore throats can cause tonsillitis . You need to be examined and have a throat culture. Could be reflux: If it's associated with sleep, then there's possibly a small amount of stomach contents going back into the throat due to gravity. Even a very small amount of reflux could give a strange taste in the mouth. Reflux can cause the blocked feeling in the throat. Stomach ulcers can cause you to feel full after eating a small amount.
