A Closer Look At Barefoot Training
Is it possible to win at the olympics at long distance running by starting training at the age of 19 years? I have an ectomorph body type.
Yes!: But possible & probable are two different things, not to dash your hopes. Perhaps, rather than focus on winning at the olympics, you can set a goal of personal achievement, say participating in a 1 mile event, then walking a 5k before running a 10k and then moving towards half-marathon & full marathon. Looking at becoming an cardiac echo tech. Are there many jobs out there? Good schools in socal? Looking to make a decent living. Ekg tech maybe?
Good idea: An echo tech is a good job and can make a decent living. Ekg tech won't do much for you-it's not a sole position; you'd have to do other things and it doesn't pay. Consider school to become a pacemaker tech - they do very well and the demand for trained people is increasing as device use is on the rise. ...Read more

Runner's Knee: Runnerboy, i hope this helps...As a sports specialist, patellofemoral synd in some form is probably the most common knee problem i see in young athletes, especially runners. Typically it's felt behind the kneecap and is a stabbing pain. A good start would be getting on an icing program, 20 minutes 4-5 xs a day religiously. If it limits sports or there is swelling, see a sports specialist. ...Read more
