Should I do surgery of subtle volar fracture through proximal base of proximal phalanx of thumb with volary distraction of avulsed fracture fragment?

Only x-ray can tell: If this just occurred, then it's reasonable to give this a couple of days of observation, rest, icing and possibly anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen. MRI of right hand shows perforation of the triangular fibrocartilage and degenerative changes of the triquetrum pisiform joint. Surgery only option?
Not necessarily: I don't treat imaging studies but rather the clinical symptoms. Are you having pain in the wrist at times or is the pain continuous in nature? Is this your dominant hand?
