Why Did Ritalin Show Up Negative In My Drug Screen
What medications show up as methadone in your system I haven't taken it why did it show up in my drug screen?
Several possiblities: Three commonly used medications can cause false positive methadone tests on the screening test - two antihistamines commonly used - diphenhydramine (Benadryl®) and doxylamine (Unisom®). Also, Seroquel® (quetiapine), a commonly used antipsychotic and anti-anxiety medication can do this. However, confirmatory tests should show that it is a FALSE positive. ...Read more
Few possibilities: There are 3 possible explanations: clerical error (you got the wrong test results), false positive (something legitimate fooled the test), and true positive (you really had Cocaine in your system). There are not many false positives for the Cocaine test, although liver or kidney disease, diabetes, and the antibiotic Amoxicillin reportedly can do it. ...Read more
Why did my Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) usage not show up on my probation drug test 10 hours later?
Unknown: Not sure, but consider that Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) does not hang around more than the day you take it. Is it possible that you forgot to take your Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) that day or that you were ill and did not absorb the Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). You will know when you are tested again. ...Read more
Yes: false positives are ALWAYS possible, because all medical tests have limitations, including urine drug screening. Firstly, if the initial test is a screening test, many substances, including commonly prescribed drugs like arthritis medications, can give a false positives. Positive screening tests should and must be followed by additional tests to prove the presence of the substance. ...Read more
Yes, usually: Ativan/lorazepam is a benzodiazepine which is typically part of a standard Urine Drug Screen/UDS. The screening would be positive and then a confirmatory test would reveal the medication. If you are prescribed the medication there should not be an issue. If not, I recommend you get help by seeing a healthcare provider. Good luck! ...Read more

Will zanaflex show up on a 9 panel drug screen for court and if so what wilk it test positive for?
Nothing: Zanaflex is not typically part of a drugs of abuse screening test. Bear in mind however that depending on the reasons for the test and the resources of the organization doing the test, with chromatography we can find virtually any substance in any quantity. If found in a typical probation setting, it would not be considered a violation unless specifically specified in the probation order. ...Read more

I'm on lamictal and zonegran for epilepsy. Random drug tests at work always show up positive for pcp. Why? I have never done drugs!
Technical answer: False positive blood tests are not unusual for many things. You should speak to the director of the laboratory doing these tests, asking whether lamictal, zonegran & whatever other meds you are taking could result in this "mis-identification"? Alternate testing procedures are often available to provide a clearer picture. Ask about this in your conversation. ...Read more
Unlikely: Firstly, very few people are drug testing for Buprenorphine unless for very specific reasons, and it will not show up on the usual opiate screens. Secondly, a single dose would be unlikely to still be at detection limits 2 weeks later even if they were testing for it, unless it was a very high dose and you have an unusually slow metabolism. ...Read more
Not likely: Usually methylphenidate will only show up if specifically tested for. Since it isn't an amphetamine, it will not trigger that test. Some rehabs look for it as do some employers. If you take any controlled substance under a doctor's prescription, you should have documentation from that doctor so that you won't be penalized. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

I been on methadone maint. fr 17 yrs.I went from120 mg to 60 mg over few months.now drug screen shows neg methadone and low metabolite.i take daily?
It happens: The presence of metabolite in urine is considered more reliable than methadone itself especially at lower doses. While the vast majority of patients will still have methadone detectable in urine after 24HRS, the situation you describe can happen. You can help improve reliability of urine results by avoiding coffee or excess water consumption before testing so that the sample is not dilute. ...Read more
My drug screen results were negative, why? I take percocet and ativan (lorazepam) on a daily basis, my screen results did not find them in my system. Knowing that i take my meds daily, i cannot understand why they did not show.
Many possiblereasons: Oxycodone may not show up on a drug screen unless the screen is specifically geared to that drug. Ativan (lorazepam) should show up, but it depends on the dose. If you are on a low dose (0.5 mg a day) it may be negative. Also, if you are drinking large amounts of water, it dilutes your urine to where drugs may be below the detection limit of the test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Drug screen: Really good question. Duramorph is morphine that is used in the epidural space. Typically a small amount is used (3-5mg), but it does distribute throughout the body. It is possible that a very sensitive drug screen could pick up morphing or its metabolites. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
No: while tianepine is a mu-opioid receptor agonist, it is not chemically an opiate, and would not show up on most drug screens. It is not approved for use in the US, and I am not sure it is legal to import it. It is not without side effects, and if you are using it, you would be well advised to have a physician assisting you with its use. ...Read more
