Took yeast and UTI tests. UTI came back positive. Could that be where by clear, watery, leaky discharge is from?

Took yeast and UTI tests. UTI came back positive. Could that be where by clear, watery, leaky discharge is from?

More details: The UTI test is only checking for wbc and other features found when WBC are present (e.g. leukocyte esterase, etc). It can be positive if there is vaginitis, e.g. trichomonas, etc. If you are at risk for a STI, I would get checked for this as well - given that you are having discharge. If it is not clear that you are having frequency, urgency and burning with urination, a pelvic exam is needed. ...Read more

I have white yeasty (watery) discharge that won't go away. Tried yeast infection meds and a swab was negative. It's been 2 months, what could it be?

Not yeast. BV?: Not surprising yeast meds didn't help. Contrary to common beliefs, vaginal yeast infections typically cause little or no increased discharge -- mostly itching/irritation, sometimes scant thick discharge. Thin ("watery") white discharge often is bacterial vaginosis, especially w/ strong odor. (Yeast infections don't smell.) And STDs are more common in women w/ BV. Watery vaginal discharge. No itch. Smells like apple cider. Neg for trich gon chly, normal yeast and bac flora per lab. Ocurring 3 + yrs. Any sugg?

Bacterial vaginosis?: The only way you will get a good understanding of the cause of this will be to have the discharge analyzed and cultured by an OB. By your comments it appears you may have done this already. BV is a common problem with several effective therapies. See your OB to see if that can be addressed and treated, if that is the issue. It may be related to some aspect of your daily routine- see your OB ...Read more

Exam: The only way to tell if you had vin or vain (vulvar and vaginal cancer respectively, is with a biopsy. If you don't have a lesion anywhere, then likely there's nothing to biopsy and you don't have cancer. What about trying probiotics to help bring your vaginal flora back to normal? Need STD check: All new or unexplained vaginal discharge needs professional evaluation. Yeast doesn't cause "thick creamy" discharge.
