I want to start using tampons but im scared of the tss I think that's what it is. Should I be scared? How do I avoid getting it?
Some thoughts...: One can change tampons frequently, at least every four to six hours. Don't leave a tampon in overnight, and use only one tampon at a time. Also, makers of tampons sold in the U.S. no longer use the materials or designs that were associated with toxic shock syndrome years ago. The instructions on a box of tampons will have safety suggestions, so it is good to read the box. ...Read more
At 36wk must tell OB: Regardless of the gestational age of the fetus, the amniotic sac can leak fluid. It is difficult to distinguish that from urine leaking from the bladder of the pregnant woman. The two conditions are handled differently. It is very common for women to 1) leak urine from pressure on or change in position of the bladder, 2) be shy about seeing someone to evaluate. The best approach is to tell an ob. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
If i tell my doc I am not sexually active even though I am (because I am 16 and don't want my mom to know), what is the worst that could possibly happ?
Sterility: If you are sexually active you should be screened every 6 months for STD's.Since at least two of these can remain relatively free of symptoms while they quietly destroy your ability to have babies, you might want to reconsider. If you pick up a symptomatic STD the cause will be obvious, but proper treatment may be delayed if you are not honest. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Typically it takes about 3 months for your body to get used to a new pill, however 13 days of continuous bleeding is not ok, but spotting can be expected. Best of luck. ...Read more
How do I stop cutting? I am not trying to die, i simply enjoy it. I have discovered I am not longer in control of it, it controls me. Am i crazy?
Profes Help: Cutting is an anxiety disorder that gives you a sense of control over your body when you either consciously or unconsciously are experiencing loss of control in other areas of your life. You have progressed to the point where it may actually be a compulsion for you, and you get a sense of relief (and "feel good") when you do it. You need a therapist and possibly medication to get you over the hump. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
